The Siam Golf Tour monthly tournaments are managed by our Tournament Director, Harold Forsberg.  Harold won't tell anyone how old he is but does admit to bashing a golf ball for over 40 years!Teeing off on a Golf Course in Thailand

Harold was born on the west coast of Canada but has been living and working in Asia for the last 20 years; he's been full-time in Thailand since 1990.

He started his golf career many, many years ago sneaking onto the old Royal Montreal Golf Club and hitting balls with a 4 and 5 iron, which is why to this day he uses these clubs to get him out of trouble with, an oft-repeated experience during his rounds of golf.

Harold was also a caddy during during his teens in Montreal and has fond memories of his "Caddy Shack" experiences but didn't turn really serious about the game until the 70's and 80's while playing mostly in British Columbia with trips to the US states of Washington, Oregon, California and Nevada.

During the 1980s, he developed his "Flat line Theory of Golf", initially the theory was developed as a means of improving his putting, but it has since evolved to encompass the entire game.

The golf career got slowed down awhile as he started Construction & Project Planning and ended up working in isolated areas including Northern British Columbia, Yukon and Papua New Guinea (not a hell of lot of courses there, guys!).

Harold currently is a member of the Thai Golf Association, United States and Royal Canadian Golf Associations and plays in tournaments organized by the American Embassy Golf Association here in Bangkok.
